Note: Advanced level, there are areas where you cannot access land.
We do downwinds where we adjust the logistics according to the distance, skills, time of day, available vehicles, and the places we want to explore.
We offer downwinds at a certain stage of learning to develop specific skills, so you can take a lesson with a downwind or join one that is already scheduled!
Planning
The meeting point is at the SURF CENTER TARIFA, where we check the conditions, equipment, and skill level of each rider. If you don’t have the right size, you can always rent equipment from us (prices here).
Individual transport to the STARTING POINT (FOOTBALL FIELD, VALDEVAQUEROS, or BOLONIA), where you can park your car. We organize as few cars as possible! The SURF CENTER van takes the equipment and guide to the starting point.
At the beach, the equipment is set up, and the guide checks all the material. DRINK WATER and APPLY SUNSCREEN – Ready to take off!
ASSISTED TAKE-OFF with everyone’s help, and we start the downwind to the town or vice versa.
ENJOY THE UNIQUE EXPERIENCE OF SEEING THE TARIFA COAST FROM THE SEA, WITHOUT WORRIES.
We finish at the “agreed ending point,” where the SURF CENTER TARIFA van will be waiting for us, along with assistance for landing the kites. We’ll drink water or have a beer together and disassemble the equipment. The equipment will be taken in the van, and we’ll bring a driver to the starting point to pick up the cars.
The downwind lasts about 1.5/2 hours, but the entire activity with transport, setup, and takedown may take an additional hour, always depending on the distance, number of participants, and conditions during the downwind.

How is the transport organized?
We ALWAYS take the Surf Center van to transport all the participants’ equipment.
Participants will go to the starting or finishing points with their own vehicles.
Surf Center Tarifa will take the drivers to the beginning or end of the experience to collect their vehicles
Is rescue included in case of emergency?
Yes, the boat always assists us throughout the ENTIRE experience.
