About your flight
From most countries, the only way to reach Dakhla Airport is by connecting through Casablanca, flying with Royal Air Maroc.
Advantages: Meet up with your kitesurfing buddies in Casablanca while you wait for your flight!
+ Your transfer will take you to the resort and also handle your luggage.
Please note: You arrive in Dakhla after midnight. + Casablanca Airport, for domestic arrivals, is a small terminal with limited options for food and entertainment.

THE WIND
Dakhla experiences an average of 330 windy days per year.
In June, we expect between 15 and 25 knots of wind daily.
- Recommended sizes:
45-60 kg – 6 / 8 / 11 meters - 60-80 kg – 7 / 9 / 12 meters
- 80-100 kg – 8 / 10 / 13 meters

Wetsuit tip:
- 4/3 full suit for average users
- 5/3 full suit for those prone to colds
- 3/2 full suit if you don’t usually catch colds
- Shorty for warmer days

FAQs
How to get to Dakhla with kitesurfing and wingfoiling equipment?
The most common way is to fly to Dakhla Airport (VIL). Royal Air Maroc is a favorite among riders because it usually allows one piece of sports equipment (boardbag) of up to 23kg free of charge (subject to their current baggage policy).
It is recommended to check your equipment in specific boardbags that do not exceed 140cm to avoid additional charges for oversized items.
Is Dakhla Lagoon or Speed Spot better?
It depends on your skill level and discipline:
- The Lagoon: This is the main spot, with flat water and shallow areas. It’s the best option for kitesurfing beginners and for progressing in wingfoiling.
- Speed Spot: Located a few minutes from the lagoon (accessible by 4×4 or boat), it offers perfectly flat water with offshore winds. It’s the preferred spot for freestyle and speed experts.
Do I need medical insurance to kitesurf in Morocco?
Yes, it is highly recommended to purchase insurance that specifically covers adventure sports. Make sure your policy includes sea rescue and medical transport.
Many kitesurfing centers in Dakhla require a safety fee (Rescue Pack) that covers rescue by speedboat within the lagoon.
With our packages, you have storage and Rescue all included.

The camp is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.
A 15% deposit is required to reserve your spot. If we don’t have the minimum number of participants, we will refund the deposit or offer you a change of dates, whichever you prefer. The date will be confirmed at least 1 month in advance so you can buy plane tickets, organize your trip, etc.
